ENTRY 1: THE RETROSLOP CONTROVERSY.

With the growth of popularity of classic-styled roblox games, such as forsaken and block tales, many people, including new players, started to go back to the old retro times of roblox, in which games were not called "experiences", but were instead called "maps", and most of these "maps" were nothing but clones of other genres.
Due to these sudden circunstances, players started to use modern avatars with retro characters from games like forsaken. However, around half of the community of robloxia isn't very happy about it, in fact, some individuals are getting extremely uncomfortable when next to these type of avatars, they are going so far as to call them "retroslop", due to the large quantity of UGC's, which weren't a thing back in the early days of roblox. This started a controversy in the whole platform, with some people calling those who dislike those avatar styles "ableist and hommophobics", which i completely disagree, as you can't take a bunch of 14 year olds on a lego platform seriously. But they can get a little annoying at times. I had the opportunity of being called a "retroslop" twice, even though my avatar doesn't have any ugc items, which made me think that this is starting to become a paranoia within roblox.

ENTRY 2: THE ROBLOX AGE CHAT VERIFICATION.
January 27th, 2026
Due to the lack of useful moderation on roblox and multiple lawsuits faced against Roblox, David Baszucki decided to implement a new addition to the platform, the age verification. Although with good intentions, it sufered reasonable backlash from the community as the new update is causing direct impact on the player's experience.
According to multiple reports, predators, the main target from roblox's new update, managed to find ways to exploit this new feature and keep doing harmful things on the platform, along with security and privacy concerns as the update requires you to take pictures of your face and send it to god knows who in the roblox HQ.
As for me? Well, i'm not doing the age verification due to privacy concerns, but also because i feel unmotivated to chat with the new update, seeing that i'll not be able to chaat with most people in the game means that the chat is meaningless for me. With that, i come to the sad conclusion that, as long as roblox doesn't revert this update, the chat will be considered, for the most part, dead.
